What is Newsworthy?

Newsworthy is a news service that finds newsleads in large amounts of statistical data. A completely new way of doing journalism.

It can be news about reported crime, property prices, unemployment or company liquidations.

You pick regions and topics to monitor.
We analyze large amounts of data to find newsleads.
You'll get an e-mail when we find a story in one of the regions that you cover.

As a partner in the European Data Journalism Network we are offering a free version of Newsworthy that gives you monthly newsleads based on data from Eurostat.

With a subscription to our Eurostat news you will also be able to create interactive charts using the LocalFocus platform.

Who is Newsworthy?

Newsworthy has been developed by Jens Finnäs and Leo Wallentin from the award winning data journalism agency Journalism++ Stockholm and the statistican Måns Magnusson. The team combines excellence in data-driven journalism and bayesian modelling.

Newsworthy has recieved funding from Google's Digital News Initiative, Vinnova, the European Commmission and Internetfonden.
