In October the confidence of retail businesses in Lithuania increased considerably compared to the same month last year, up from 4.8 to 12.7.
In the same time, EU countries retail businesses confidence have decreased slightly, down from 3.1 to 2.3 on average.
Lithuania now has the eighth highest confidence of retail businesses in the EU compared to the other 28 countries. Slovakia has the highest confidence of retail businesses (27.2 points), while Belgium ranks last (-17.5 points).

This indicator is based on businesses surveyed on business situation, stocks of goods, orders placed with suppliers and firm's employment.
For all surveys the difference between positive and negative answers (in percentage points of total answers) are averaged to calculate an indicator.
