About the construction indicator
This indicator is based on businesses surveyed on trend of activity, order books, employment expectations, price expectations and factors limiting building activity.
For all surveys the difference between positive and negative answers (in percentage points of total answers) are averaged to calculate an indicator.
The economic sentiment indicator (ESI) is calculated as an index with mean value of 100 and standard deviation of 10 over a fixed standardised sample period.
